Hi. I started this club because I just love the summon creatures and summoners of the Final Fantasy series and was shocked to see that there was no club that supports them. So here it is folks!

What are summons?

Simply put, summons are magnificent creatures that you can call on through the use of magic directly or indirectly. Summon monsters will fight for summoners (individuals with the magic ability to summon) no matter what the situation so considered yourself out of luck should someone summon a beastie on you. In the Final Fantasy series, summons are referred to by different labels such as Aeons (FFX), Eidolons (FFIX), Guardian Forces (FFVII), Espers (FFIV), or even just plain old Summons (FFVII). There are several recurring summons such as Bahamut and Shiva as well as those unique to each Final Fantasy game such as Pandemona and Kujata. Each summon is different in its own special little way, but they're all known to do one thing: OWNAGE.

Apologies for the long absense from the club, but so few people are joining that I haven't had much motivation to check back regularly. I may not check this club regularly, but I will check it eventually (at least once every other month or so). One thing for sure, this club is among the few that will never die so don't fret! You'll never come to a dead Summons Sanctuary ever!

CLUB RULES~

1. Send a Note to join the club. Make sure the word "join" is in the subject line. You can send in an empty Note if you wish, as long as the word "join" is in the subject line.

2. Make sure you deviantWATCH ~Summons-Sanctuary in order to keep up to date with club happenings.

3. After you've been accepted, you can submit any art submission via Notes with the words "art submission" or "art" in the subject line. Any submission, whether fanart or original, is welcomed as long as the main subject matter of the artwork is a summon or a summoner. Completed works are greatly preferred (summons deserved to be tributed in the best manner possible).

4. All submissions will be favorited instead of being added to the club's deviation gallery. This is so people can favorite and comment on the original artwork instead of the club. This will also alert members that their submissions have been added to the club's gallery. (And it saves me a HECK of a lot of work from saving and uploading member art in addition to notifying members that their stuff has been received.)

5. Contest submissions must be submitted via Notes with the words "contest submission" or "contest" in the subject line.

6. Any Note that have nothing in the subject line is automatically deleted without hesitation. All Notes sent to the club that do not have the words:

"join"
"art submission"
"art"
"contest submission"
or "contest"

may or may not be deleted depending on what is on the subject line. If you have any questions, please comment on this journal only so other people can read it in case they have the same question too.

7. Only winning contest entries will be posted in the club's Deviation Gallery. In essence, the Deviation Gallery will behave as a sort of Hall of Fame for the club.
